Nickerson Company, Inc. is proud to offer water well video inspections utilizing our state of the art Laval R-10, full color, dual lens, underwater video system. This system is completely self contained in a 14' trailer and is equipped to inspect well casings as deep as 3000'. The camera not only provides a full color down hole view, it also incorporates a second side view lens which can be rotated 360 degrees. The side view lens allows the operator to stop and look directly at any item of interest as the camera descends into the well casing. The entire video inspection is recorded on a standard VHS tape, which includes a digital readout of the camera depth right on the picture. This piece of equipment has proven invaluable for the information it provides. The camera can be utilized to determine the general condition of the well casing and visually see if the well is due to be cleaned. The camera is equally useful to inspect a newly drilled well or look for any defects in an existing well. In addition, it is very useful to help in the retrieval of an object dropped down a well casing. We strongly recommend video inspection be made of any well when the pump is pulled for service.
SONAR-JET WELL CLEANING
SONAR-JET is a highly effective system that will thoroughly rid a water well casing's perforations and
surrounding water bearing formations of mineral, bacterial, fine sand and other deposits that materially restrict the flow of water entering a well, thereby reducing its specific capacity. The patented SONAR-JET system accomplishes this by combining a mild "harmonic" frequency of shock waves with pulsating, horizontally directed gas pressure "jets". The shock waves loosen crust-like deposits and the gas jets repetitively surge the well's own fluid back and forth through the perforations, to deep clean the surrounding aquifer.
